As a WordPress developer, it’s really important to get the right WordPress Plugin screenshot size. wordpress.org allows you to specify one or more screenshots in the plugin’s readme.txt file, which then appear on the screenshots tab when users view the plugin’s information.
If these are too big, or too small, it’s really difficult for users to view your WordPress Plugin screenshot:

To ensure high quality and no loss of key information in your screenshots, the best size to use is 530px width x any height. That way, screenshots aren’t resized by WordPress, and appear as expected at the best possible quality:
